Jarle Norman-Hansen has 30 years of experience from the Nordic property markets, and is the Founder of Ambolt
Prior to Ambolt, Jarle was Partner and Head of Real Estate Investments at ABG Sundal Collier. Jarle oversaw the acquisition
and asset management of €8 billion in real estate investments
Previously, Jarle was Head of Research and Real Estate Analyst for Sundal Collier (predecessor to ABG). Jarle has extensive experience covering the listed property sector throughout Scandinavia, including
prior positions as Head of Research and Real Estate/Shipping Analyst at Alfred Berg Norge AS and Head of Research and Real Estate Analyst at Elcon Securities (predecessor to First Securities)
Jarle received his M.Sc. in Economics from BI Norwegian Business School and his ICFA from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)


Bjarte Solheim has 20 years of experience from the Nordic property markets, and is the Founder of Elementum

Previously, Bjarte founded and held the role as Managing Partner at Solist, a Norwegian property fund. Prior to that, Bjarte was Managing Partner at Fearnley Finans Eiendom, where his responsibilities included facilitation of real estate investments, syndication of equity, structuring of debt and project management

Bjarte received his M.Sc. in Economics, specializing in finance, from The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH)


Mats Jensen has 5 years of experience from the Nordic property markets, and joined Ambolt in 2016. He has 6 years of experience from various startups


Hege Holstad has 15 years of experience from the Nordic property markets. Previously Hege was Controller at Solist, and is the former Head of Fearnley Finans Management

Hege is an accountant from Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences

We believe the only way to consistently profit from real estate investments is to invest in assets at a level significantly below their long term intristic value. Having acquired, analyzed, managed and sold tens of billions in real estate equity and debt over the past 30 years, Ambolt's investment team is highly qualified to determine an asset's fundamental value and its future value once asset or market stabilization has been achieved 


We spend a disproportionate amount of our due diligence effort focused on structuring and pricing investments to ensure capital preservation under all likely scenarios. If an investment is properly underwritten, unexpected negative outcomes should ideally only impact the return on the capital invested, but never the return of our capital 


Unlike conventional real estate investing, most interesting opportunistic investments are proprietary and are created to meet the specific (often complex) needs of a partner, seller or borrower. Ambolt is capable of creatively and efficiently providing capital and a wide range of expertise (capital markets, corporate finance, legal, accounting, tax) to design and deliver investments that meet sellers' requirements and our targeted returns


While our focus is generally on €25 - €100 million assets, we work closely with large real estate investors, and are able to leverage our own capital with partner co-investments to pursue significant public and private opportunities. Our co-investors are often seeking a Nordic partner with local expertise and relationships, while they frequently contribute a unique level of asset, sector or operating expertise
